Grant Making

The Keller Foundation awards an average of 30 grants each year. Grants range in size from $2,500 up to $50,000. Awards are relative to the size and scope of the project as well as its potential to impact our focus community.

We prefer to make three-year Impact Grants which constitute 5%-50% of the program’s budget.  Impact Grants help our grantees plan for funding support long-term. Impact Grants usually have the following elements:

  • Awarded in 3-year cycles
  • Evaluation required for renewal
  • Looking to make an impact in our focus community
  • Help nonprofit organization/program startup in area of focus/need
  • Looking to leverage resources of other funders; and/or working with others to help collaborate or influence change
  • Alignment with foundation values
  • Reinforce foundation image and values in the community
  • Supports specific programs

 

The Keller Foundation has a key interest in supporting programs and services for children and families living in the community around the Martin Luther King Jr. Leadership Academy. However, the Keller Foundation is not limited to donations in this geographical area. Click Here
