Grant Making
The Keller Foundation awards an average of 30 grants each year. Grants range in size from $2,500 up to $50,000. Awards are relative to the size and scope of the project as well as its potential to impact our focus community.
We prefer to make three-year Impact Grants which constitute 5%-50% of the program’s budget. Impact Grants help our grantees plan for funding support long-term. Impact Grants usually have the following elements:
- Awarded in 3-year cycles
- Evaluation required for renewal
- Looking to make an impact in our focus community
- Help nonprofit organization/program startup in area of focus/need
- Looking to leverage resources of other funders; and/or working with others to help collaborate or influence change
- Alignment with foundation values
- Reinforce foundation image and values in the community
- Supports specific programs
